Description: It is Redlsted as Endangered. "Continuing decline has been observed in many small, severely fragmented subpopulations." This picture was taken on the summit of Elandsberg by Greg Devine who heads the High Altitude Team of the Mountain Club of South Africa. They have been conscripted by the Outramps CREW Group to reach the heights that we can't. Many thanks I have put the habitat as Fynbos as there is no option for rocky cliffs

Description: Protea grandiceps is Redlisted as Near Threatened. These photographs were taken for me by Greg Devine of the Mountain Club's High Altitude Team conscripted by the Outramps CREW Group. They were taken on the summit of Cockscomb, which is reached by means of a rock climb/scramble with lots of exposure. My thanks

Description: I don't recognise this Leucadendron from the stukkies received from the High Altitude Team of the Mountain Club of South Africa. I am banking on Tony for the Id. Clive Louw took the display photograph and had this to say. "It was 20m from the summit and the sole moth eaten survivor after a recent fire. If it is the Knobbiebos, it was about 1 to 1,3m high" The other Leucadendron pics were taken of a sample brought down for me by Greg Devine. Bill was convinced that he saw Protea grandiceps on the top. Unfortunately his camera jammed.
