Comments

Microcephalum?

What is small about its head?

microcephalum

At flowering the female head is almost hidden by those large brown bracts visible in the male head. Exceptionally small among Conebushes.

Post flowering the cone grows big enough to hold the seeds and confuse everybody.

Ah

Thanks!
