Description: Robust plant to 1 m in a small clump. Leaves 15- 25 wide,flowers pink with dark pink line in middle of lower 3 tepals.

Description: Natal Watsonia (Watsonia densiflora/confusa). Now common in Natal Midlands but from when? Not in a big clump. Leaves 12mm by 480mm, dirty green, yelow mid rib and edges thickened. Flowers about 30 in dense inflorescence, 35mm size. Only one stem per plant (!). Bracts dry, brown, margins not dark, veins pale. Flower tube 30mm, lower part enclosed in bract. Indistinct darker pink streak in middle of tepal.

Description: The name confusa according to Elsa Pooley is because it is often confused with other Kzn species with dry brown bracts, e.g. Watsonia densiflora. however, densiflora has dense inflorensces often 3 or more stems, and this doesn't, so that is why I plummed for confusa. the other two pink watsonias in the area are Pondoland endemics and Skyline reserve is just outside Pondoland. So its a bit tricky. judging from the description below, though, I think its right.
