Description: Found on sandy flats growing in between grass . Tallest orchid was about 25cm (can grow to 42cm) Many lance shape leaves,I did not see barred purple-red on the lower leaves.Dense raceme with many yellow-green flowers with purplish-brown tips. Unpleasantly scented. It is widespread in the winter rainfall Cape Province and blooms September to October.

Description: This orchid had quite a strong, not so pleasant smell. It is difficult to see in the photo but there is a large hole in the soil and a few of the orchids had been dug up.. porcupine activity.
