Good guess Casper

Maybe Jannie can get pics in the next 4 days...we can then be sure, my guess is Corycium

you're right

Corycium makes more sense - looking forward to the pictures.

I will go and get one

I will be going back in a week to take a picture of the open flowers! This was the first time i spoted it on the farm!

two different species

These are two different species
Pic 1 is Disa bracteata
Pic 2 is Corycium orobanithingamy.

Please tidy up!

Exactly the same plant from

Exactly the same plant from different angles, 3 weeks apart!

You sure? If so

You sure?
If so, then that settles that. The bracts are a bit broad for D. bracteata anyway.
Agree with Casper's orobanchithingamy, except I dont recall the bracts being so big?

Looks like...

Corycium orobanchoides?

post the ID!

Dont just tell us, post the ID!

Sorry

Sorry, Tony!

Was at work and it seemed likely, but C ingeanum I know is very close so I just wanted to check it in my guide. A close-up of the flower would clinch it; however I know that these little beasties are difficult to photograph - I have had trouble getting a clear shot each time I came across it.
