Description: Possible Chlorion sp., similar to: http://ispot.org.za/node/197791, but a bit smaller and greyer. Not on coastal dunes, but 20 km inland in forested kloof, on less sandy terrain. Reflection on wings seems to be purple/violet rather than blue.

Description: These active, terrestrial black wasps with golden face markings are common on the trails in Hawaan forest just north of Umhlanga. They seem to seek out the buried cricket prey of other females, which they then seem to clean of eggs, before they fly away with it to use for their own purposes.
