Description: Re-observation since rare species. Several reports from KZN midlands. Two specimens close by. No others seen near. Plants 400 - 600 mm high. Leaves 7-8, erect, 50mm by 400mm, yellow edges. Margins slightly to very wavy. Clearly visible parallel veins. Umbel 600mm. Pedicles start green change to red near flower, 200mm by 5mm. Flowers 20-32, deep red, 70mm accross. Petals 40mm by 12. Bracts green and later brown, triangular 50 by 50mm. Stalk slighly oval 30mm by 25 by 18mm. Grassland but not near exposed rocks.

Description: About 400mm high (memory). Bulb? Six flattish leaves standing up in a flopping way, 2:1 aspect ratio, tips not pointed, margins wavy(!) Flowers approx 6, 80mm(! Pooley 40mm), deep pink. Bracts(?). High up away from wetland (!) (? = Did not try to observe.) (! = Not consistent with Pooley)
