Description: Cleared a huge patch of Port Jacksons. The stumps still remain and serves as a perch for birds. Saw this little guy catch a huge tadpole given there's no fish in the pools.

Was found in a garden close to a dam (see photo 4 above)which was surrounded by bush on uninhabited land. The owner had heard a bird fly into a window, then found it at ground level, stunned. He picked it up and put it into a tree in the garden. It remained in the garden for a few days then was found dead but no sign of injury. The Giant Kingfisher has been seen at the same site.

Description: A very small bird with turquoise/black crown. Rufus blackish on back, yellow bill. I thought it was a juvenile Malachite Kingfisher (a flash of turquoise as it flew by), but I really am not sure as colouring is not quite right. Sorry the photos are so poor, but I would like help.
