No specific close-up, but I did upload the highest res version I had if you look at that. Sorry no idea on the smell - too many plants to photograph to take in details.

How i concluded with Dracomontanum, however these 3 species are so closely related, i just thought confirmation would be good....some nice finds ...the pink oreophila is stunning!!!

I will know for next time, which I must do. I was zooming through from Rhodes to Underberg and only had 30 minutes to browse the escarpment at Naudes Nek. But amazing what one could find in such a short time.

Just to be sure its not alticola or nigrescens,did you smell it....normally it smells like goat pee.....stinks actually....the general giss tells me its dracomontanum,
