Description: Stiffly erect twiggy shrub to 2m. Cape Plants has it's habitat as "stony granite and clay slopes". This was growing on tertiary sands. Evidently there is an underlay of granite beneath the dune. The area was a mixture of wetland, fynbos and Albany thicket, making it difficult to choose a habitat.
