Description: Very tall trees with white bark visible from far away. Grows middle and higher up against slopes of ravines in Chizarira National Park and in the Zambezi Valley in Zimbabwe. Scaling of bark looks just like plane trees. Leaves are hand shaped (5 or 6 veined with indentations between the veins) and very large - about 25 cm across. Could not get photo of tree, too late in the afternoon, and picked up a dead leaf that had blown down to the road. could not identify it using van Wyk & van Wyk. What is it??? At both observations there were only three or four trees together.
