The leaves were distinctly deformed. We think this must be because of the diesel fumes from the Power Van which goes up there several times a day. Comments?

For whatever reason, I had difficulty separating Tarchonanthus and Buddleja salviifolia in the field. Tarchonanthus littoralis has alternate leaves and the Buddleja's leaves are opposite.
